Donations

The Michigan Flywheelers Museum is a 501c3 non-profit organization. Donations may be dedicated for use in one of several accounts such as:

  • General donation
  • Tractor Display Building: monies raised from this will go to the construction of a barn type building to house our ever growing collection of antique machinery.
  • Antique Machinery Acquisition : used to purchase antique farm equipment.
  • Frick Portable engine- Money in this fund will be used to fix the boiler of the engine.
  • Land acquisition
  • Clark Sawmill Engine building. This sawmill has a lot of local history as it ran for years in a nearby little town called Lacota. We would like to put the machinery under a pavilion type building.
  • Pavilion – an addition to our Stephenson Barn
  • Shingle mill  – we are in the process of moving our shingle mill into a larger old building that was donated to us. We plan to renovated the inside as well as the outside of the building.
  • Oil Pull “H” restoration. This fund is for the restoration of an Oil Pull that was donated to the museum.
  • Black River Railroad
  • Bob’s Wood Shop -A working line shaft woodworking machinery display.

Endowment Fund

The Michigan Flywheelers Museum Endowment Fund has been established as part of the South Haven Community of Funds through the Kalamazoo Community Foundation. This endowment will provide the museum with long term stable income.

Individuals may donate up to $200.00 and couples $400.00 each year. Corporations may donate up to $10,000.00 each year. For example if you are in a 30 % tax bracket you could receive an 80% tax credit for a donation to the endowment.
