Area students learn how use a flour sifter during Farm History Day.

Held annually the second Friday in May.

Open to area schools, homeschoolers, and the public, Farm History Day is a hands-on educational event where kids (and adults) can learn about the lives of our early settlers who lived on farms. During the day, students can learn how to dip candles, churn butter, and make rope while watching the blacksmith pound iron and see logs cut into lumber. Participants take a self-guide tour which includes a visit to Olde Town which features Old Tyme Jail, Over The Hill Forge and Peaceful Knoll Church. Free admission. Pet-free event.

Swap Meet/Flea Market

Held the second weekend in June.

A fundraiser for the museum, the Swap Meet features sellers offering everything from antiques to apples.

Over 100 vendors sell everything from antiques to apples at this two-day event. A fundraiser for the museum, the Swap Meet originally started as a place for collectors to sell antique farm equipment parts. Since it’s inception over 20 years ago, the Swap Meet has evolved into one of the largest annual flea markets in the area. Admission is $2 per person. Selling fee is $20. There is no space limit . No pre-registration. Set up starts on Thursday at 8 a.m. Pets allowed only with sellers and campers and must stay at campsites. Camping available for non-sellers.  $20 per night plus admission. Electric- $15.  Pets only with vendors and campers. Personal Transportation Vehicles Registration (golf carts, Gators etc) $20.  No firearms, ATVs, mini/dirt bikes or political items (flags, hats, signs, Confederate etc.)

The shingle mill is one of many things to see during our Antique Engine and Tractor Show.

One of the largest shows of its kind in the state, the Antique Engine and Tractor Show features hundreds of old farm machinery, demonstrations, parades, live entertainment, plenty of kids activities and more. All four days are filled with things to see and do for the entire family. You can munch on an ear of buttery sweet corn cooked in an old steam engine, watch tractor pulls, try your hand at the Flywheel Toss or sit down in the Stephenson Barn and listen to musicians play during the Moore’s Jam Session. Admission is $10 with kids 12 and under free with paid admission. Thursday is Seniors Day-admission is $5 for those 62 and over. Sunday Special – admission only $5. Pets allowed only with campers, exhibitors and vendors and must stay at camp site at all times. No ATVs, firearms or mini/dirt bikes or political items (banners, signs, flags etc. including Confederate Flag)  Personal Transportation Vehicle Registration (golf carts, Gators etc.)- $20. Camping available. $20 per night plus daily admission.

Christmas at the Flywheelers

This “gingerbread house” aka our ticket booth is one of many lighted displays that you can see during Christmas at the Flywheelers.

Held about every 5 years in December, this nighttime  celebration is filled with colorful holiday displays, activities in the Stephenson Barn, rides on the Holiday Trolley and much more! Best of all – it’s a free event! It’s the museum’s gift to the community for all the support it has received. Check our Facebook page for updated information and dates.
