COMING SOON! We are please to announce that plans are in the works to build a grand scale railroad at the museum! When completed, the railroad will feature the historic Hanson Express #902 engine that was once part of the House of David’s Eden Springs Amusement Park in Benton Harbor, Michigan.
This historic engine was donated to the museum by business owners Russ and Merlin Hanson who had purchased the engine many years ago and had it restored.
Railroad on track to completion
2022 UPDATE- Construction has started on the Black River Railroad route. When completed, the track will circle around the outskirts of the property. Additional acreage was purchased with the goal of building a roundhouse and depot. This summer, the museum was able to purchase enough track for the entire route.
